The Ilyushin Il-76 is a legendary Soviet-designed strategic transport aircraft, famous for its impressive payload capacity and ability to operate from relatively challenging airfields. First flown in 1971, it was designed to transport heavy military equipment, vehicles, cargo and personnel over long distances. Its four powerful turbofan engines and distinctive high-mounted wings give it a commanding presence in the sky. The Il-76 is an excellent subject for aircraft wallpaper, combining rugged engineering, impressive proportions and the timeless beauty of military aviation.
